Staples Essay Contest

The Staples contest requiring a student to write a 500 word essay explaining how our school has become more environmentally friendly is really appropriate for our school. We should consult some of the executive members of SWITCH, as they know best what our school has done to protect the environment. SWITCH members will be able to explain how W.L. Mackenzie C.I. has the initiative to develop natural renewable energy such as solar and wind power. The contest also requires the essay to contain a section on student leadership. In this section we would be able to write about the executive members of SWITCH, the student council, and our IDC ICT class. We’d have to show that what everyone is doing is collectively helping our school, and the environment. This is definitely a contest we have a chance at winning.
